[ROM] [KIW-L21] Official Android 6.0 EMUI 4.0 UPDATE

Hello. :)

On my YT channel one of viewers gave me a link to official update for KIW-L21, Danish version of update, but as I checked (I live in Poland an my Honor 5X is also from that country) it works like a charm on any Honor 5X which model codename is "KIW-L21". :)

Only what you have to do is to go to this LINK - it's official Huawei Support page, but in Denmark, then click onto search result, and then click onto "Download Nu" - update is 1.8GB.

After download you have to:
unzip this archive and put folder "dload" into your Honor 5X main memory,
then go to "Updater" in Settings,
click "Menu" then select "Local update"
and choose "UPDATE.APP" searched by updater,
then "Install" and that's all, official update for KIW-L21 will be installed in few minutes. :)

I made a YouTube tutorial, but it is in my primary, polish, language, but I think the video will show you the process I listed above. :)

Hard bricked?? Kiw-L21

I think i dun goofed on the worst possible way. My phone is kiw-L21 So i flashed cm13(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...=1877) / gapps and the b330 package so you can get the fingerprint sensor. and than i rebooted and my phone just went black. Did i do something wrong and is there a fix available. My phone wont do anything. it wont even bootloop or anything else. i tried all the button combinations and i tried connecting it to my pc/charger. nothing. If there isnt a fix for it would i be able to return it to my seller and will they notice anything? I really hope i haven't hard bricked my phone :(

Phone in bootloop, KIW-L21

Hi guys, I wanted to install CM13, so I decided to unlock the bootloader, root and then try and flash. But that didn't go as expected, as I wanted to have my fingerprint sensor working, I had to upgrade from MM, but I had LP installed. Here's all I did, in order (remember it's a KIW-L21) :

-Unlock bootloader
-Install TWRP 3.21 and rooting using this guide
- Then I realized I couldn't upgrade from LP. So I tried to revert using the TWRP backup in this guide

And now I'm in bootloop. Any ideas on what to do? Did I brick my phone ?

Question about ( Marshmallow 6.0 update ) For KIW-L21

Hi guys ,,
I came here to ask you guys two questions about updating my phone to android 6.0

I bought my phone From Dubai and I knew that the name of the phone was 5X ( KIW-L21 ) but when i went back to Jordan and started searching for accessories for the phone the guy from the shop didn't knew what Honor 5x was,, and he told me it's called GR5 ( Not KIW-L21 it was KIW- then some different numbers than mine ) ,,

So my questions are ,,
Will i be getting the update when it's available in Dubai ( KIW-L21 ) or when it's available in Jordan because of the difference in names ??
and does anybody knows when the OTA update will be available in the Middle East ??

just did the update.
go to hicare, upgrade rom and accept the prompt. then go in updater and download. i recommend a factory reset after is done. Happy upgrading!!

Bricked after MM update (KIW-L21)

Hello,

I have a huge problem with meinm Honor 5X KIW - L21 .

I wanted to flash the OTA update B320 today .
Before I made ​​it , I have the original recovery installed and the Honor unrooted .
After that I carried out the OTA update . This then broke off with an error .
Now I wanted the Honor boot , but it hangs while Honor logo .
I can not reboot into bootloader .
The only thing that is still possible , the boot into the recovery .

Can the phone still somehow save ?
