[Help Thread] How to Make Ethernet Adapter to Work With S7

I have Samsung Galaxy S7 model SM-G930FD dual sim for asia pacific region. I want to connect my phone to internet using ethernet to usb adapter connected to OTG cable. I read somewhere that this is possible to do in android since marshmallow, and there is many people doing the same with other phone and it works. But I can't make it to work with my S7, anyone knows what I should do to enable it?

Ethernet as fake wifi?

I am running remix os on Desktop PC. I don't have a wifi adaptor. Although Ethernet works fine on Remix os but games like Asphalt 8 require Wifi connection is there anything I can do?

I'm NOT ROOTED bc of ota updates.

Hello guys,
i have a sm-t715y galaxy tab s2 8.0 and bought a D-link DUB-1312 usb to lan convertor.
when i connect it to tablet using OTG cable, the ethernet option in system remains gray and will not active.
is there any way i can use my dongle with this tablet ?
i'm on android 5.0.2 stock ,rooted.
