HTC 10 - worth the effort?

Could use some advice.

So, I live in an arctic wasteland called Canada, where we essentially only have 3 major mobile providers that control the market and only 1 of those carries the HTC 10. I'm on a corporate plan at work that uses one of the other 2 mobile providers, so switching to that mobile provider isn't an option (and given I'm cheap, neither is the 9 before tax sticker price to buy it unlocked).

A family member is off-contract at the moment with the HTC 10 carrier, so I could use their 'upgrade eligibility' to get a unit and then spend another to unlock it. If there is a problem, then I will obviously have to go through the family member to return the phone, get warranty support etc.

If my mobile provider carried the HTC 10 it would be a no-brainer, but I'm wondering whether it's really worth the effort, especially when there are a lot of reviewers that claim the S7's AMOLED screen, camera and waterproofing make it a better choice. In Canada we get the Exynos 8890 version of the S7 if you think that is a trump card or not? (and sorry in advance to my American friengs for using the word Trump in a sentence).

Appreciate your views on whether this phone is worth jumping through these hoops, or should I just give up and take the S7 easy road?

Hello everyone! | LAG FIX RIGHT HERE!!! | NO EFFORT NEEDED |

Yooooooo everyone,

So recently I started a thread which indicated the AUX problem and lag problems, funny enough lag didn't bother me as much as the AUX cord problem but I found a fix for the lag. The improvements are beyond amazing and apps such as instagram showed to have a 17% increase in loading times.

*I know that some people may already know about this as this fix has been around for many years, since honeycomb to be exact, but this is to he'll people that didn't already know*

All that said! Let's get this going!

So firstly unlock "developer options"
Scroll down until you see a option called "Force GPU 2D rendering" switch it on.

Enable "disable hw overlays" as well and after this, you will see an improvement I garentuee.

Oh and btw there isn't any side effects/negative effects of this option, everything is safe and battery actually occurred to improve by 2% which lead to maybe 4 minutes more usage time! All in all a fix for what the Z5 was originally bought for.

If you guys need any information on the switch or anything at all don't hesitate to ask below!

Love you all! And hope you enjoy the z5 compact like we all wanted it for x

- Seb
