The right way to flash stock rom?

So: I'm on a custom kernel,custom rom.
Should I :
1) Wipe Everything in TWRP.
2) Boot into download mode.
3) Flash stock rom


or

1) boot into download
2) Flash Stock
3) Wipe everything in stock recovery
?
