How useful are the "Edge" features?

I am considering buying the Note 7 and it seems to share the edge features that this phone has. I was wondering what people think of the features, what the most useful ones are, pros/cons to the curved screen, etc. Basically anything you would have wanted to know ahead of time that you now know. Thanks in advance! :)
