Noob root questions

First off I'd like to thank everyone here that is quick and helpful

That being said

Here are some noob questions that answer I get might help others

I update to July tmobile patch

Here is what I need to know
Can I root pg1 and will I be able to revert back

And how Stable is root on pg1

Also all I really want on my root is volume booster
