Going from a Note 5 to a Nexus 6, am I crazy?

I just got a nexus 6 via prime day warehouse deals for 185 shipped with nj tax. Phone looks brand new just one minor scuff by the charging port, came with the box and turbo charger. I currently have a note 5, am I crazy for going backwards? I used to love flashing my old LG g2 and God forbid my thunderbolt and the og nexus. I'm on Verizon so that's a big no no on the note 5. I really like the note 5 but something is just missing being so locked down. What do you guys think?
