Will Roms be specific to each G4 variant?

So I've desperately been looking for 2 months for that perfect phone. The thing that kept me from buying other phones is because of different variants these manufacturers have been making. Different variants had specific ROMs. They work on this version but not that version. I'm a tweaker not a dev so I'm checking first before I pull the trigger. US G4 Plus was released finally the last 24 hours. I want the 64 GB 4GB Ram version. Will the ROMs that are going to be developed gonna work for this phone. Or is it gonna be this ROM works for only the 16gb version and so on. I want the best development potential phone.
