Is it possible to upgrade kernel? 3.4.5 to 3.4.67?

Ok so before I soft brick again my phone....

We all know PokemonGo is out there, but theres the issue where I need at least Kitkat to run it.

So... I have a china phone with:
Jellybean 4.2.2
MT6582
3.4.5 kernel

As a newbie.... I've been mashing my head all over the internet trying to figure it out if its possible to upgrade it to kitkat!

As far I understood, I need a kernel of 3.4.67 to port a kitkat rom!

So my question is, is it possible to upgrade this china phone firmware? :confused:
