Head Unit Apps not working

Hi,

I have an Android Head Unit (I think its the AN-21) and for a while now a few apps will not work:

Google Play Store - Says no connection
Google Maps - Says Stopped working
iGo Navigation - Says Stopped working

I am thinking of flashing new firmware however wanted to see if anyone else had any other suggestions.
