I got my son a Moto G 3rd Gen a few months ago and he's really pleased with it apart from it not sending or receiving emojis. Instead of an emoji the message is just blank.
He's using the stock messaging app and SwiftKey keyboard.
I've Googled and found references to changing the SMS encoding method to auto but can't find this setting anywhere in the phone.
Any help appreciated, he's only nine and emojis are an important thing in his social life :o
