Where are GPS values stored (/proc?)

Hello, does anyone happen to know whether the values taken from the GPS of an android phone are stored/read from somewhere in /proc, stored somewhere else, or not stored at all? My current android version 6.0.1 if that makes a difference for the answer to my question.
