Want to brush the lugs

I notice the lugs attracts a lot of scratches. I have a small ding on mine as well. Has anyone tried modifying it to a brushed metal look like how it is on the sides. I've done this to my seiko bracelets so it isn't had to do but I don't know if it would look good. Just for the lugs, and the bezel will stay polished. If anyone has, can you please post a pic. If not I may just try it.
