My phone's brightness is set to a locked value and neither the slider in the notification bar, nor Brightness level option in Settings seems to have any effect. First thing I tried is downloading an application called Night screen which is able to change the screen's brightness - it asked me for "Allow write system" permission and it worked. However, I did not see this as a permanent solution, so here's a few other things I tried:

- Changing Adaptive brightness option
- Factory reset
- Phone Repair in PC Companion
- Flashing another official firmware through FlashTool
