Hi all I was banging my head with MiFlashUnlock permission saga so this worked for me as all I want is TWRP.
There will be a few permission hurdles :mad: but worth it if you can't wait for Xiaomi to grant permissions to unlock bootloader.:fingers-crossed::good::victory:
- Get Fastboot developer ROM, I used latest Chinese.
- Flash with MiFlash Tool.
- Install Playstore(Google installer for Xiaomi)
- Install Flashify from playstore.
- Get ROOT and give root access to flashify http://xiaomitips.com/guide/root-acc...thout-rooting/
- Download/Install TWRP via Flashify.
- Install your Custom ROM
