Settings app issues

I've been having some issues with the settings app for quite some time on android globally, as I like to abuse my phone and was wondering if anyone has found a fix for this.

I have a little over 700 apps on my phone and I've found that whenever I get above a certain amount on my phone, the settings app will no longer properly work when loading apps. This happens a little over 400 apps I believe, and catlog specifically crashes at:

exception at com.android.settings, PID: 25067
exception at com.android.settingsLib.applications.ApplicationsS tate $AppEntry.getBadgedIcon(ApplicationsState.java:117 0)
exception at com.android.settingsLib.applications.ApplicationsS tate $AppEntry.ensureIconLocked(ApplicationsState.java: 1149)
exception at com.android.settingsLib.applications.ApplicationsS tate $BackgroundHandler.handleMessage(ApplicationsState .java:856)

From what I can tell online this might be an out of memory exception, and will occur even if I directly load a single app for management from a program like Link2SD.

I'm on stock marshmallow now, though I've had issued in lollipop as well. I am rooted and using xposed, and have plenty of available RAM and storage space.
