so i updated my friends Straight Talk Galaxy S3 tonight using a few threads on here, all of them stating to use verizon Roms which did work "almost" perfectly but i ran into an issue with CM12.1 ( as an example) was asking for a sim card.
ive tried looking deeper into the situation and couldnt find anything besides finding a Verizon based Sim card and using that,
but i was really wondering if there is a way bypass it, he didnt need one on 4.1 so why need it on 4.4.4.
i know there was a guy on here named Rixter who was looking into that issue but nothing was ever brought up
also it changed the phones model from SCH968c to I535 which was stated it was not supposed to happen
did this ever get fixed on this phone or would my friend need to get a sim card at this point. he only wanted me to update his phone to play Pokemon Go :p
