Hi. Quick query for a mate.
He's having issues with his Moto G and is in to email with support.
They're totally giving him the run around and have gone as far as to tell him he's out of luck due to being rooted.
Now he's not stupid but he has no idea what rooting is and has definitely never rooted his phone. He has updated to 6.0 via OTA but that's it.
Support have suggested they know his root status through checking his IMEI number....is that even possible??
Long-winded question I know, maybe even better placed in another forum but I've asked now so...
Anyone clue me in?
