newbie help sm t110 won't run my tv app

Hi everyone,

what a great and informative forum!!

i am rene from Holland. I have 2 sm t110 tablets, great for use around the house and for the kids watching youtube on it.

i ve been trying to run the tv app from my tvprovider on it but it wont install due to wrong android version (4.4.2 instead of 4.4.4)

i have browsed throug the forums and i understand this tablet cannot be upgraded to 4.4.4. (correct?)
why is that (low specs?)

Would it be possible to fool the online.nl tv app (available from playstore) into installing anyway? That way i can use it to watch tv shows on it! (id say it should be able tot do that even in respect of the low specs) .
Maybe i can turn some check of and make it run anyway?
