I own the LG v10 h960a. I'm using the phone in Canada on the Telus network and trying to set up my credit and debit cards in the Scotiabank mobile wallet. Although this phone is not listed as compatible (duh, it's not sold in Canada) my phone/nfc works perfectly with CIBC (no tweaking involved). Just for fun, to get it recognized with Scotiabank's app, I changed two lines in the build.prop file to trick the app into thinking my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5. Lo and behold, the mobile wallet appeared and allowed me to add my debit and credit cards. The problem is that they won't process, likely because it can't confirm carrier (telus) and phone number. I've called Scotia Bank 10 times and nobody can figure out why the cards are hanging on processing since the cards are verified on their end.
Does anybody know any lines in the build.prop file that can be safely changed to reflect telus as the carrier, and any other lines that would need to be changed for the fake phone info? Some setting on the phone is clearly blocking Scotia Bank from processing my debit and credit cards for use with their mobile wallet app.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
