Mi3 not starting, cant flash

Hi Guys,

I have a MI3 running Ivan's latest Marshmellow Rom 6.3.29, with Ivan's special TWRP recovery

2 weeks ago I misplaced my phone, and I used Android Device Manager to lock the phone. However, I found the phone 2 days ago, and now it will not start up properly. It does the following:

1. Mi Logo Loads OK
2. Android Startup Logo Loads OK
3. Then one of a few things can happen:
a.the screen goes black and stays black (not off, but displaying a full screen of black)
b.android loads for 0sec-2sec and returns back to the Android Startup Loading Logo on infinite loop
c.android loads, but displays endless stream of 'Unfotunately, **APP/SERVICE** has stopped.' where **APP/SERVICE** seems to be heaps of different apps/services
... I am rarely able to use my phone inbetween the frequent error messages during 'c.' Realise that the expected 'unlock phone from android device manager' screen does not appear. I have tried to restart into safe mode (went to blank screen upon restart), managed to unsync google account(doesnt seem to help)

I have attempted to reflash the latest miui using fastboot, Reflash Ivan's ROM using Ivan's TWRP,
In Ivan's TWRP I have attempted to Wipe - Davlik / ART Cache, System, Data and Cache, yet the boot is still the same, the wiping does not seem to work as a factory reset

I have also attempted to fastboot flash a different recovery, but it will not overwrite the old Ivan TWRP recovery,

However I can access CWM, TWRP and MiRecovery if I use 'fastboot boot ' and use the functionality as a temporary recovery.

I have attempted to load the latest miui rom zip through these recoveries. sometimes it says 'complete' and other times shows an error, but always reboots into the same Ivan MM Rom.

I thought it may be something to do with partitions, so I attempted to reload the original partition sizes, but it does not fix my issues.

I changed the partitions when I installed one of the later versions of Ivan's MM rom (as required). Although I cant remember the instructions I followed. If there is a way to print the partition structure I can show you?

Fastboot versions I have tried are the latest Global Dev, and the latest Global stable:
cancro_global_images_V7.1.2.0.KXDMICK_20160125.000 0.13_4.4_global_5e71b7a95d
cancro_global_images_6.5.27_20160516.0000.22_6.0_g lobal_30aa80e1ec

It seems as if any changes I am making in fastboot, adb and recovery are not being saved. e.g. when I am transferring a file from PC to the phone via one of these methods, it is not saving on the device after restart

If anyone can help that will be highly appreciated as I am stuck! I will be happy to provide any logs, or error info that may help
