Internal storage to ExtSD Move question

I am aware that when you put something on your phone it is there forever, some small part of the data will always hang around (unless you care to link me to a way to get rid of it forever for good!) So my question is, what if I MOVE that data from my internal storage to my ExternalSD? Will it then be off my internal storage forever unrecoverably? Thanks in advance
