I realize I'm pretty much asking to get flamed here....
Got my HTC 10 in the mail yesterday. Unboxed it - sure is pretty. Powered it on and very quickly encountered truckloads of dissappointment.
I'm coming off the HTC M8, loved that phone for 2 years - but the screen is falling apart (my son hit it with a rock....). I'd heard that the M9 was kind of a bust - and that the 10 was considered to be a major course correction after that.
But I can't stand News Republic managing my BlinkFeed, and I can't stand Picassa managing my photos. And I need my drop down quick settings.
Long story short, if I keep it, I'm definitely going to have to root it and put Viper10 on it.
Thing is, if I'm going to have to go through all the work - why not save 0 and just get an M9? Sure I'd lose some processing power, but I'm pretty sure Viper runs well enough on it and that it would meet my needs for the next two years.
Or would it?
If any of you guys came off the M9 and went to the 10, I'd love to hear your perspective.
