Boot-loop on Galaxy S5 - can i install firmware from SD?

I've dug through threads for hours already, can't seem to find this specific issue, apologies if it's out there somewhere.

The story:
Vacationing in Canada, phone is on sprint's network in the USA.
Enabled international account settings with sprint before leaving the USA.
Turned on international call and data upon arrival in canada.
Worked fine for a few hours.
Then started rebooting.
I did see an error for firmware unable to download.
Now it is in a boot loop.
I believe it attempted to update another networks version of the firmware and failed, corrupted, and has now left me in this position.
Sprint will not support this, as their towers can not connect to the device (no sprint in canada)
Samsung support will not help in canada because it's a USA bought phone.

I know all i really need to do is flash it with the latest firmware, that's what a tech would do right now.
Attempts to use Kies has failed, the macbook i have available reboots when it's run.
Attempts to use Odin have failed - an auth failure.
I would like to flash it from the SD card - is this possible? (download firmware, transfer to SD, mount the SD,
then using the boot menu, and "install update from SD" - seems like the solution ya?
and if so.. anyone have a good link for SM-g900p marshmallow that isn't a paid user account required mirror? I just paid 5.99 for a mirror that is SLOW AS SNOT, 49kb/s, and pulling down a 1.5gb file.. literally days to download this firmware. There has to be a better host out there.

PLEASE HELP I"M DESPERATE AND WITHOUT A LIFELINE IN ANOTHER COUNTRY. Thank youuu.
